1981
. . . que je passe d’état en état . . .

On 20 February 1981, Jaap Bakema died at the age of 66.
The absence of his driving force brought the meetings of Team 10 to an end. At the same time, Van Eyck and the Smithsons became entangled in an argument that proved to be beyond reconciliation. And so the core of Team 10 finally fell apart.

The meeting initially planned to be held in Portugal in the fall of 1981 never took place, although the Smithsons and Jullian de la Fuente did eventually visit Amancio Guedes in Lisbon. On a personal basis, the individuals of Team 10 continued to meet, exchange ideas, teach, design and build.
